We are a locally based registered charity formed to support members of the LGBTQI+ community, to include their friends, families and colleagues within Bury.
The Bury LGBTQI Forum was founded in June 2021 with the aim of promoting Equality and Diversity in Bury, Greater Manchester.
Our aim is to connect and support members and allies of the wider LGBTQIA+ community within Bury through shared engagement, social and cultural events as well as sign posting to partner organisations providing wellbeing support.
The Forum is a registered charity ran by volunteers and a dedicated committee.
Help us drive the group forward with your ideas and activities to enhance the visibility of LGBTQI individuals. Receive and offer support to the local LGBTQI community. Together, we can make a positive impact.
The Forum has received the Kings Voluntary Service Award.
In the Citation “The passion and dedication of the existing volunteers, and indeed those who came before them, is abundantly clear when seen at first hand. “

The Forum host regular meetings each month, as well as events throughout the year, including the Rainbow Train and Bury Pride.
We couldn’t hold these events without the support of our volunteers, the members and local funding.
